Please have a check around as there are many books somewhere at home - this makes it very hard for students to be organised at the start of the term.
A reminder - homework books come home on a Monday, so that spelling tooling can be practised each night, and need to be at school on a Friday. It's a great idea to leave them in the reading folder each day as there is also an opportunity during the literacy block for tooling to be practised - especially if it has not been completed each night at home.
Poetry books come home on Fridays and are needed at school during the week as the weekly poem and associated activities are also part of daily literacy. Poetry books need to be at school each Monday when the new poem is glued in before school.
We are all working on managing ourselves and most of us are really 'whizz, bang!' now, but not having books at school makes the term a challenge from day one.
