Dear Parents/Caregivers,
Planning is in the final stages for the Year 3 and 4 camp. Below is the hard copy of
the activities that your child/ren will be participating in during camp.

Attached to this letter a Parental and Risk disclosure form that needs to be returned
to school by Friday 24th of August. Please note that each person (including
parent helpers) attending camp needs to complete one of these. If there are any
considerations for food or other medical issues that have not already been identified,
could you please let the classroom teacher know.

Lawrence: visit Gabriel’s Gully – walk, lunch
1:30 pm: Arrive Dunedin Holiday Park.
2:30 -4:45 pm Dunedin Art Gallery. ‘Otago Gold’
5:30 pm: Dinner – Fish and chips, coleslaw and rolls at the Lodge.
6:15pm: Kapahaka Festival

Thursday 13th September

9am – Depart from Dunedin Holiday Park.
Travel to Otakou Marae on Otago Peninsula – past Portobello
9.50 am: Arrive Marae
- 10 am Powhiri (Welcome)
- LEOTC Programme 11 am – 3 pm
- Marae activities
- 6 pm Catered meal
Overnight stay (singing eisteddfods)

9 am: Depart Otakou Marae.
10 am – 12 noon: Toitu LEOTC Programme & Chinese Gardens
(Treasure Hunt).
Lunch.
1 pm: Depart for Alexandra.
Approx. 3.30 pm: Arrive home.

Medications
Those children who indicate that they require medication should bring spare
supplies o school in a named plastic bag on Tuesday the 11th of September. Please
enclose details of dosage. This will be carried as part of the first aid kit.

Food
On Wednesday, come with morning tea, a full lunch and water bottle which will be
refilled for Thursday and Friday. We ask each family to please provide some baking or
biscuits.

Parent Helpers
A short meeting will be held for the parent helpers on Tuesday, 28th of August
at 7 pm in Room 3. This meeting is to clarify supervision expectations and to
answer any questions.
