Week 10 Term 2

Here we go on a week that looks like a roller coaster.

I hope some of you enjoyed the family mass on Saturday night.  I do know David and Adam were helping with the mass. Thank you boys.

Skating: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday - we arrive at the rink about 9:45.  It would be fantastic if there could be some parents who could meet us there to assist with getting skates on with laces tight enough for us to get the most out of our lessons. Please remember gloves, helmets and warm clothing.  HAVE A DRINK BOTTLE AT SCHOOL to take to the rink.

Poetry Eisteddfods will be heard on Monday and Tuesday after play.  Monday we have Kapahaka with Ms Tamati so will start about 12:15.  Mrs Ward and I will both be assessing these together as the competition is for year 3 & 4. I have heard some fantastic poems already.  Hope you have all had time to have another brush up over the weekend. Looking forward to some fabulous entertainment.
Eisteddfod Assembly = Thursday 1:30 pm. I will post the names of our presenters as soon as we have them. Tuesday night.  The names will also be in the school newsletter along with the order of the classes performing.

Friday Mass: Rooms 3 & 4 will lead the 12:00 mass.  Please join us for the Eucharist - the church family meal.

Friday Afternoon - Interhouse Rippa Rugby - wear your house colours and runners. Don't forget warm clothing in case it is a bit chilly.

Homework:

  1. Reading - make sure that your reading log is up to date - read every night. Monday & Tuesday you will need to get a text from the browse box.
  2. Spelling - 'long 'o' words.  Keep listening to where the long 'o' sound is and look at the spelling pattern.
  3. Cross Country Training - now is the time to start, and a few wee runs over the holidays should bring you back to school a little fitter.
It's been another very full-on term.  Take time to recharge your batteries over the holidays.  To those travelling to warmer climates for a break "Bon Voyage" - safe travels and a happy, relaxing holiday.
