Week 8 Term 3

WOW, it's camp week already.
The last paperwork is finished, so now to look forward to a fun time of learning together.

Great to see so many of you at mass yesterday. Thank you so much Olivia for sharing a prayer of the faithful and to Milla nad Mackenzie who stepped up to lead the sung responses. Very proud of you all.

Wednesday morning
Please be at school at 8am and look for the parent who is looking after your learning group. This parent will assist you with getting your bag under the bus and check that you have everything that you need in your day bag.

  • good sized lunch
  • drink bottle
  • waterproof jacket
  • old shoes for Gabriel's Gully & plastic bag to put them in
  • notebook, pencil, book to read
We will load the bus about 8:25 and hope to depart at 8:30

Our honey wraps are nearly all finished. Thank you so much Fiona for assisting the children with these. We will take these with us to camp to wrap lunches from Thursday.

Eisteddfods will be heard while we are away at camp, remember to bring your words if you need them. Weeks 9 & 10 are very busy at school, so it will be great to have these done early.

While away at camp we will be working in camp books, recording some of what we do, and there is also some of our learning from this term in these. Mrs Roberts will bring these back from camp, as there is work to finish in them during the last 2 weeks of the term. Once this is completed, these can go home as a record of the first camp experience and learning. You are welcome to come into class and have a look if you want.

Friday: we hope to depart Dunedin at 1pm. We will get a message to school and on facebook advising our arrival time in Alexandra with your tired but happy campers.

As I will be away from Saturday, it is time to wish you all a very busy time getting our dance ready for Aladdin and a wonderful holiday.

If you need to contact a teacher, please contact Mrs Roberts aliroberts@stgerards.school.nz
