Week 2 Term 3

It was exciting to see how all students gained the confidence to talk about their learning last week at the student-led interviews. The self assessment sheets with their goals on are in their homework books so that we can keep thinking about where we are heading.

Matariki Breakfast: Thank you Ed and all the families who were able to attend this celebration. A shame we had a cloudy morning, but there was a warm community feel in the hall.

Camp permission forms please.

Just  reminder that we are trying to cut down on the wrappers in lunches. I'm sure that it is the wind, but we often have a small gathering of these wrappers in our doorway. No wrappers at school will certainly mean a much tidier playground - thank you for your help with this.

Monday: School cross country. We will be having an early lunch. Remember to wear school sports uniform and bring a drink to the course. Years 3 & 4 will be sitiing with Mrs Laidlaw and must not leave the year 3&4 area without her permission. Races start at 1pm, with the year 3 &4 races being the last on the programme. Good luck everyone. This is certainly a growth mindset challenge for many.
Tuesday 7pm Camp Parent Meeting in Room 3
Wednesday: School Sports Uniform: We are the class assisting at the 9am mass. Please join us in the church.
Gymnastics at 11:40.
Mrs Roberts will be teaching in the afternoon as I am at Reading Recovery In-service.
Friday: Assembly 2:10 led by Rooms 2 & 7.

Homework

  • Spelling: long 'i' spelling patterns
  • Reading: 10 minutes each night. Great to see so many enjoying their own books.
  • Fridge Words: concealed, isolation
