Week 4 Term 3

A bit late this week, sorry. Waiting for the Monday meeting did not pay off as I had other meetings each night.

Congratulations everyone for the amazing commitment and courage shown at the school cross country last week. Thank you so much to the parents who assisted as marshals and to all those who came to encourage and support the runners. A fantastic conclusion to our PE training programme.

The most important thing this week is the St Gerards Olympics Games which start on Thursday at 12:00 with an Opening Ceremony. On Monday afternoon each house met and students were put into countries. Your student should have told you the country that they will represent and the colours that they are to wear.
Tui: France or USA (mainly blue)
Kiwi: Brazil or Jamaica (mainly yellow)
Kea: Ireland or Pakistan (mainly green)
Ruru: Russia or China (mainly red)
Lunch will be at 12:45 - sausage sizzle - don't forget to order extra sausages if Mum or Dad are staying for the day.
The afternoon events start again at 1:15.
Be prepared for fun, sportsmanship and competition.
Looking forward to another fantastic event run by our senior leaders.

Friday Mass: 12:00 led by Rooms 1,2&7.
Assembly: 2:10 led by Room 5.

Homework:

  • Reading
  • Spelling - we are revising lots of spelling patterns as we prepare for the levels test this term
  • Morning Programme
  • Maths
  • R.E. - how are we using those Fruits of the Spirit every day at home with those we love and who love us?
